RSSFWD goes belly up

The developers of RSSFWD have pulled up their tent stakes and moved on.
The service is no longer in operation. Sadly, even though love may make the world go ’round, money greases the wheel. And RSSFWD developers weren’t generating any money on a free service, and they were just overwhelmed.
Managing RSS with ‘Managing News’

As we watched some abandon their RSS programs in the past couple of years, such as SimplePie and RSSFwd, it’s refreshing to now discover that others have chosen to dip their toes into the RSS waters.

SimplePie is ceasing development

The team that has been created and kept updated the SimplePie rss feed parser has decided to go on to other things.
For now, the SimplePie code is housed at github.com, a place for developers to share code. Perhaps someone will decide to take on the SimplePie development mantle. Until then, you can continue to use SimplePie for all your RSS needs for the forseeable future.
Integrating Feed 2 Javascript into Drupal

One of the more annoying things about Drupal, including Drupal 6, it in its handling of RSS feeds. The included aggregator does not exactly inspire confidence in the placement of feeds into that Content Management System (CMS).
